In Bloom: Spring Equinox
Sunday March 16th I lived and witnessed an answered prayer with In Bloom hosted by 100 Healthy Women.
5 years after completing my meditation and yoga teacher trainings I was in a reality that I wrote down back in 2020. Those words were “ I want to support Black women’s healing journey by offering yoga and mediation through events and classes.
Well as alignment would have it Spring Equinox, Women’s History Month, and an intention to bring women back to their bodies were all the inspirations needed and the moment had now arrived.
As Janet Jackson’s “That’s the Way Love Goes” played in the background and sage and incense burned I felt like I was in a scene from Girlfriends or Insecure-the moment was truly Divine.
The day was filled with thoughtful divine feminine moments. We sipped warm delicious Heart Nectar tea, stretched and moved to reconnect with our sensuality and rested underneath the beautiful sound of singing bowls. It was just one of those moments where if you allowed yourself to be present you would have walked away feeling like a new person! Everyone was in bliss, and joy!
My heart is still filled after being immersed in this experience. We as women especially Black Women face and go through insurmountable challenges from home life, to work, to existing in the world.
When we create the space for ourselves and the spaces to heal we can overcome. I know we are tired and just want to breathe, love and be loved and we’re doing it. To be well is our birthright, and we are reclaiming that truth for ourselves.
As we step into this new coming of Spring may we all be reminded of what we’re grateful, may we celebrate every triumph, and let go of what no longer serves.
The New Year has officially arrived and I’m excited for what’s ins store! Are you?
